Straddie Coach Trip – Friday February 2nd 2018


Friday, February 2, departing at 7.15 am sharp

Cost to Members $60 includes morning tea, ferry, touring and lunch. Payment code TRIP1. Please pay by January 17.

To confirm your booked seat payment by EFT or at Kallangur must be received by Wed, January 17. Only payments at The Bray Hall Social may be delayed until Friday 19. Coordinator begins contacting the next people on the Waiting List immediately after the Social.

Enjoy this North Stradbroke Island tour, crossing Moreton Bay Marine National Park by car ferry to Dunwich and then scenic touring to Point Lookout and Cylinder Beach. Spend time at Gorges Boardwalk where the clear waters make it easy to spot marine life including turtles, dolphins and manta ray. After lunch visit the Stradbroke Island Historical Museum which has a range of exhibitions on display depicting many interesting historical facts about European settlement of the island.

The heritage listed Woolshed at Jondaryan is a popular destination
and is the largest and oldest operational Woolshed in the World.
This 1850s style museu
m celebrates the wool industry in Australia
and has
historic buildings, machinery, equipment and
collections which have been acquired
and meticulously restored
since 1975.

Experience the relaxed, rural atmosphere of this interesting historical
complex as
you take a history tour and be amazed with the sheep dog
demonstration. Spend
some time today doing a self-guided tour.

RAAF Aviation Heritage Centre – Thursday May 3rd 2018


Thursday, May 3, departs at 8.15 am sharp.
Please be at the Interchange by
8.00 am with your ID as per note at end of trip description.

Cost to Members $45 includes morning tea and lunch at a local club. Payment code TRIP3.
Payment to be received by April 18 or April 20 at the
Bray Hall Social only (9 – 10 am).

jetThe RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre was officially opened on 5 June
2011 and currently houses up to eight aircraft across three display hangars.
Run by a team of Reservists and local volunteer enthusiasts, the collection
includes a WWII Boston bomber, Vietnam-era Canberra bomber, Caribou
airlifter, Sabre and Mirage fighter jets, F-111, Sioux and Iroquois helicopters and
an immaculate WWII jeep. Join us for a guided tour of the heritage centre before
free time to browse at your leisure.
All passengers entering RAAF property need to produce photo ID or something similar eg: Medicare/Pension card.
Please have ready at time of booking the ID
type and the ID number as the Coordinator needs to forward these to the charter company two weeks before the trip.




All of the above trips leave from Strathpine Shopping Centre Bus Interchange, Dixon Street side.
Bus departure times are very precise.
Please plan to be there about 10–15 minutes earlier in case you encounter traffic delays to make sure you are not left behind.  Please wear your badge and report to the person with the clipboard when you arrive at the Bus Interchange.

 CANCELLATIONS: If a cancellation is received we will make every effort to either fill the vacancy with someone from the waiting list or reduce the numbers at the venue. A refund of monies paid should then be possible.
